The Joe Cosley Exhibit officially opened on July 23, 2010 at Glacier Discovery Center in Columbia Falls, Montana. First Best Place Task Force, the Northwest Historical Society, and Life Preservers Publishing LLC were responsible for creating this fascinating exhibit. They were also mentored by Glacier Associates and Glacier National Park Historians to assure professional protocol and care in handling the precious Cosley treasurers. The display included an authentic reproduction of Joe Cosley's Belly River Ranger cabin. Thousands of Montana residents and people from all over the world toured this historical exhibit during Glacier National Park's Centennial. We were pleased to play a part in bringing together the rare items that Cosley owned for this unique presentation in Columbia Falls.

More than a year later, after a successful tour, the Cosley Exhibit was moved to the Museum at Central School in Kalispell, Montana. The Northwest Montana Historical Society did an excellent job of exhibiting the entire collection. Again, thousands of Montana residents and people from all over the world were introduced to the life and times of Belly River's Famous Joe Cosley.

The story does not end here. Interest in the Cosley Collection continued as it evolved into a International Exhibit. In May of 2012, many of the Joe Cosley treasurers in the display returned home to Canada, the country where Joe was born and raised. Look for this permanent exhibit
with a Canadian flavor at the Cardston Old Court House. We are excited to announce that Joe Cosley will be the Featured Exhibit this summer.

The museum is open year round every Tuesday 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. with more extensive summer hours. Phone 403-653-1315 for more information. To arrange Tours by Appointment phone Diane Barnes at 403-653-2657 or contact Maxine Rogers at 403-653-2746. We have visited this impressive exhibit several times and can tell our readers that it is beautifully hosted by the Cardston and District Historical Society. Experience the Historical and Romantic Adventures of Joe Cosley for yourself!

We recently celebrated our 20th Anniversary with a successful event hosted by the Cardston and District Historical Society in the Court House Museum. Twenty years ago Brian McClung researched and wrote his first two outdoor books: Belly River's Famous Joe Cosley and Hooked For Good, Hooked For Life: The Passion for Fishing Belly River. As a result, thousands of readers across the United States and Canada have been introduced to the fascinating history associated with Cardston, Southern Alberta, Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier National Park.

All those who attended the event enjoyed lunch and a presentation by Marie McClung who was assisted by Lynn and Richard McClung. The historical journey of the Causley and McClung families became interactive when a few people in the audience provided additional historical information. Edwin Knox, a historian and Park Warden with Waterton Lakes National Park, shared the exciting news of recently finding a very rare living tree that was carved by Joe Cosley in 1927. Everyone stayed to visit and experience the Joe Cosley Exhibit while enjoying cake and ice cream.

The Afternoon was topped off with a FREE DRAWING sponsored by our parent company, Life Preservers Publishing. Paul Drew, representing the Cardston Town Council, selected the winning entry for our Grand Prize Package. Maurine Heninger was our lucky winner! Her prizes included: a beautiful bouquet of Red Roses designed by Colleen's Secret Garden, a Gift Set of Alberta Honey, Belly River's Famous Joe Cosley, Hooked For Good, Hooked For Life: The Passion for Fishing Belly River and Hiking Bear Country by Brian McClung.

All of the outdoor books by Brian McClung are available at the Court House Museum in Cardston, Alberta, Canada
